Carolina (she/they) is a first-generation Ecuadorian-American born and raised in Yonkers, New York and living in NYC! Carolina studied performing arts at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City and graduated with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre at The New School. She also studied sketch comedy writing at Upright Citizen’s Brigade NYC.
After graduating, Carolina originated the role of
Dora The Explorer in the World Premiere / First National Tour of “Nick Jr. Live! Move to the Music”!
Regional: Elf (The Argyle Theatre), Dogfight, Heathers, The Bodyguard (White Plains Performing Arts Center), Jersey Boys (Weathervane Theatre), 10th Annual New Works Festival, Midsummer (Gulfshore Playhouse). In 2022, Carolina made her Off-Broadway debut in ¡Americano! (New World Stages). In this new musical bringing awareness to DACA Dreamers, she inspired and originated the role of Jessica Bazán. Previously, she has starred in a national TV commercial for Miller Lite, and a Bud Light commercial for Twitch, among many others. Check out the “Upcoming Performances” page to see what’s next!!
Carolina can also be found behind the scenes… She’s Stage Managed youth & teen productions of Les Mis, Cats, Bring It On Jr., Spongebob Squarepants: The Musical, Songs For A New World, & Into The Woods (Westchester Sandbox Theatre). Other SM credits include the August ‘23 4xLatine Showcase with the Latine Musical Theatre Lab (Teatro LATEA), Disney’s Encanto x CAMP Immersive Experience, and the Paw Patrol Mighty Movie Experience (CAMP Family Experience Stores).
Her original full length musical, Quantum Hall Pass, is a wacky y2k sci-fi coming-of-age story. She plans to develop her own piece in tandem with performing and is a member of the Latine Musical Theatre Lab’s Writers’ Council.
